Two teenagers were robbed at knifepoint in a park in broad daylight.

The victims were forced to hand over mobile phones, cash and wallets to a thug who threatened them with a flick knife.

The 19-year-old man and 17-year-old youth had been walking through Victoria Park, Ashford, past the fountain and towards the small bridge leading to Gasworks Lane.

The robber approached them and demanded they hand over all the contents of their pockets, which included the wallets containing various cards.

It happened last Friday, August 21, between 11am to 2pm.

Police are looking for a suspect described as Oriental, aged 15 to 17, 5ft 4in tall and with a slim build.

He had short, dark brown hair, closely shaven with tramlines shaved into it.

He was wearing a grey hooded tracksuit tops with front pockets and is said to have spoken with a local "rude boy" accent.

Police are seeking potential witnesses, in particular workmen who were working on the fountain around that time and those travelling through the park in a white van.
