Delays are easing on the M20 after a lorry crash which left a man fighting for his life.

The accident between a car and lorry at around 1.30pm between junction 2 for the A20/A227 and junction 4 for the A228.

The coastbound carriageway was closed, and all London-bound traffic was also stopped earlier so the air ambulance could land and leave.

But by 6pm traffic was still slow, but all lanes had been reopened.

The driver of the lorry has been arrested, and is being questioned by police. The male car driver is said to be fighting for his life after the crash.

Meanwhile the M26 Eastbound was closed for the same accident, with queueing traffic between junction 2A for the A20 (Wrotham) and the M20 for junction 3.

And in a separate crash, four vehicles were involved in a pile-up on the M2.

Traffic is starting to queue and the road is blocked due to the big crash on the M2 coastbound between junction 3 for the A229 (Blue Bell Hill / Chatham) and junction 4 for the A278 (Gillingham).

It's not believed anyone was seriously injured.
