A man has been treated for injuries after being hit by a car in Perry Street, Northfleet.

The crash, which involved a black Ford Focus, happened at around 9.30am Wednesday near the junction with Brook Road.

Paramedics from two ambulances treated the pedestrian, believed to be a man, and an air ambulance was expected to land at a nearby school to airlift him to hospital.

Three police cars were also at the scene and had closed Perry Street in both directions.
