THIEVES have stolen a compressor unit from the home of a 61-year-old man who uses the equipment to help treat a medical condition.

They also took the householder’s watch collection, binoculars and pieces of his late wife’s jewellery.

The break-in happened on Wednesday between 2pm and 8pm at Highbury Gardens, Ramsgate.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact 01843 222033.
