Midfielder Anton Robinson made his Gillingham debut against Wycombe on Monday night and boss Martin Allen is predicting good things from him.

Robinson’s first showing was over-shadowed by a poor second half by the Gills but Allen is confident Robinson – on loan from Huddersfield – will make a difference for the Gills.

Allen said: "I thought he did well. It was difficult for him as he has only been here a couple of days and hasn’t played for three weeks.

"His last game was in a development match for Huddersfield so we decided not to start him and played the same team that did so well against Northampton.

"He is going to get better and better and now he comes into the frame for Saturday’s game."

Meanwhile, Allen has allowed young forward Ashley Miller to join Ryman League side Hythe Town on loan for a month.
