Maidstone returned to the top of Ryman League Division 1 South with two late goals in a 3-1 win at home to Three Bridges.

United played poorly in the first half and trailed to Tim Rivers' 34th-minute strike.

Stones defender Nicky Humphrey equalised just before the hour, then Paul Booth (pictured) came off the bench to put Maidstone 2-1 up with five minutes left.

On-loan winger Warren Whitely made sure of the points by adding a third in the last minute.

Margate stretched their lead at the top of the Ryman League Premier Division to four points.

A goal in either half from midfielder Mark Corneille and a third from Matt Bodkin secured a 3-1 win over Carshalton at Hartsdown Park.
