A first-time mum has said the grief she is feeling after her two-month-old son died is beyond words.

In a moving tribute to Anthony Sean Gary Pollard, Georgina, 21, said she misses her boy so much and every day without him hurts more than the last.

Anthony died after suffering a cardiac arrest at their home in Invicta Road, Sheerness, on Tuesday last week.

Georgina said she had woken at 7am to hear her son crying and she changed and gave him a bottle before putting him back to sleep in his cot.

Later that morning, at about 9am, she checked on Anthony and found he was not moving.

She phoned for an ambulance and was told over the phone how to resuscitate her son, which she attempted until paramedics arrived.

He was airlifted to Medway Maritime Hospital but died at 10.27am - before he arrived.

Anthony was eight weeks old on the day he died.

Former Minster College pupil Georgina said she is devastated at her son's death but the support she has had from friends and family has been overwhelming and has helped make her feel less alone.

She said: "I still hear him crying and he's not there.

"I miss him so much and every day I wake without him hurts more than the last."

She said her son was a very well behaved baby and she was lucky as he took to sleeping through the night and would not wake up until about 9am.

She also said everyone commented on how much hair he had.

Georgina said she made two promises to her son - one was to get him Christened, which they did at the hospital, and the other to better herself.

She plans to do this by returning to college to do her GCSEs.

Funeral details are yet to be confirmed.
