Murder trial to follow bungalow death

A Medway man will stand trial for murder later this year following a fatal stabbing at a bungalow in Chatham.

Deke Partridge, 26, of Maidstone Road, Chatham, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Timothy Hutcheon between January 25 and February 2 when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday.

Mr Hutcheon, who was 34, died after suffering multiple stab wounds in his bungalow in Dale Street, Chatham.

Partridge spoke only to confirm his name during the brief hearing. He was remanded in custody by Judge Jeremy Carey until his trial starts on November 30.
