Ward and Partners Children’s Awards 2015

Looking after a child with a severe illness or disability demands a great deal of love, compassion and dedication.

Being that child and tackling life head-on on requires equal amounts of determination, courage and positive attitude. There’s no holiday, no rest and no choice but to plough on.

Ward and Partners Children’s Awards will be pulling out all the stops this autumn to recognise both children and their families who day after day, week after week, year after year dig deep to get through the most gruelling of times.

From carers to courageous families, champion swimmers to wheelchair football stars, the annual event will shout from the rooftops about these special people and their incredible achievements - regardless of the odds stacked against them.

And although the judging panel has received a vast array of nominations this year from all corners of the county, we don’t want any toddler, young child or teenager who is deserving of consideration to be left out.

If you know a brave big brother, gutsy family or a dedicated fundraiser who fits the requirements of one of our six categories we are extremely keen to hear from you before nominations close on Friday, July 10.

Maybe you belong to a performing arts group or sports club where a young person is doing amazing things in spite of a disability?

Are you a music teacher or artist who takes a class attended by a young person so very deserving of an award. Do you live in the same road as a family who should be given the chance to let their hair down, even if it is only for one short afternoon, at our gala lunch in October?

HOW TO ENTER

The six categories, open for nominations for just a few more days, are all detailed below.
Nominations can also be made online at www.kentonline.co.uk/wardawards

The process only takes a few minutes and your nomination could be the difference between our judging panel being able to consider someone for an accolade or knowing nothing about the sensational but silent strides they are making.
