Pedestrian struck by taxi

AN ELDERLY woman was taken to hospital after being involved in an accident with a taxi.

The pedestrian, thought to be in her 70s, was injured after the collision with the cab in Blendon Road, Bexley, at about 2pm on Wednesday.

An ambulance and paramedics' fast response car were called and she was taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, with minor injuries.

A crew from Bexley fire station were called to the scene, but the scene had already been cleared.
