Peter's Food Service recalls products from Asda and Lidl stores across Kent

Supermarkets across Kent are removing pies and pasties off their shelves today after concerns were raised that some might contain glass.

People are being told not to eat some of the firm's savory snacks.

Peter's Food Service, which serves Asda and Lidl, has asked the stores not to sell certain savoury snacks to customers after it admitted fragments might be found in the food.

The products being recalled include Asda two peppered steak slices with use-by dates of August 19 and 20, Asda two steak slices with the same use by dates, Lidl chef select two chicken and mushroom slices with a use-y date of August 20 and Lidl chef select two minced steak and onion slices with the same use-by date.

A statement on the Food Standard Agency's website says: "Peter’s Food Service has recalled the products listed above as they may contain glass fragments.

"If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

"Peter’s Food Service is recalling the above products."
