Concern for missing police cadet Alex Willoughby, from Oxford, who has links to Kent

Police say they are "extremely concerned" for the welfare of a 17-year-old girl who went missing more than a week ago.

Alex Willoughby, a police cadet, lives in Oxford but has links to Kent and is said to have been considering moving to the county.

Alex, who is white, 5ft 7, slim, with blonde wavy hair and blue eyes, disappeared from Verbena Way in Oxford at around 9pm on Tuesday, November 14.

She was last seen wearing a grey Adidas t-shirt and sweatshirt, blue ripped jeans, a knee-length green Parka coat and black and white Adidas trainers.

Superintendent Joe Kidman said: “We are extremely concerned for Alex’s welfare. She is only 17 and has not been seen since Tuesday 14 November.

“Alex has connections to Kent, specifically Faversham, Whitstable, Sandwich, Margate and Sheerness, and has recently expressed a desire to move back to the county.

"Therefore, we would ask residents in those towns to remain vigilant and keep a look out for Alex.

"It is possible that Alex is using public transport either in or around Oxford, or has travelled to Kent by public transport, so again I would urge commuters to please keep a look out for her."
