Ramsgate attackers punch man for mobile phone

A young man was confronted by two attackers in Ramsgate who punched him in the face when he refused to hand over his mobile phone.

The 18-year-old victim was assaulted as he walked in Ellington Road, at 6.50pm on Saturday.

The victim managed to shout for help from passersby and the offenders ran off empty-handed towards the town centre.

Police describe the offenders as two black men in their early 20s.

One was 6ft 3in tall with short black hair and wearing a blue and black tracksuit with a motif on the left breast area; the other was wearing a red and black baseball cap, blue jacket and dark trousers.
