She suffered severe injuries to her face, eyes, neck and arms after the attack on Friday, September 18.

Ms Whitlock has now been released from hospital following treatment for extensive burns and has been told she may never regain the sight in one eye.

Geoffrey Midmore, 26, from London, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and conspiracy to commit GBH with intent.

Billy Midmore, 22, also from London, was charged with conspiracy to commit GBH with intent.

The pair were arrested at about 10.45pm on Sunday and charged yesterday after police were granted more time to question them.

A 33-year-old woman also arrested has been released on bail.

They appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court today, where they were remanded in custody until October 23.

The arrests came hours after detectives offered a £5,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the two brothers following the incident outside the Turtle Bay restaurant in Southampton.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said on Sunday night: "The arrests came as a result of a joint operation by Hampshire and Kent Police.

"We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance during this investigation."
