Captain Shaun Welford celebrates scoring Maidstone's second goal against Dulwich

Maidstone United swept to a 5-0 win over fellow Ryman League Division 1 South promotion hopefuls Dulwich Hamlet in front of a crowd of 1,989 at their new Gallagher Stadium on Saturday.

Alex Flischer and Shaun Welford both scored twice with the other goal coming from Tom Mills.

The victory lifted Maidstone to seventh place and three other Kent teams are in the top five.

Faversham moved into the play-off places for the first time following their 1-0 victory at Burgess Hill courtesy of a second-half goal from Danny Lawrence.

Third-placed Herne Bay won 3-0 away at Three Bridges through goals from Rhys Lawson, Dean Grant and James Turner. Folkestone remain second despite their 3-1 home defeat against Merstham.

Skipper Dave Cook scored a hat-trick for Hythe Town in their 3-1 success at Corinthian-Casuals while Sittingbourne were 2-1 winners in the Kent derby at Whitstable. Goals in each half from Ryan Golding gave the Brickies victory after Michael Smissen had equalised for Whitstable with his first goal for the Oystermen since his move from Canterbury City.

Ramsgate were another team to pick up three points on the road with a 2-1 success at Leatherhead through goals from Ashley Miller and Tom Chapman.

In Division 1 North, Chatham Town player-manager Kevin Watson scored the Chats’ opener in their 2-2 draw at Witham Town with skipper Brad Potter scoring their other goal.

In the Ryman League, Premier Division, Margate were denied three points at home to Lewes by a 94th-minute equaliser from Karl Beckford after leading through Sam Long's first-half strike.

Cray Wanderers won 3-1 at Enfield Town thanks to goals from Jack Clark, Alex Stavrinou and Leigh Bremner.
