Tanker drivers vote for strike action

Petrol prices top 132p a litre

Kent has been placed on alert after fuel tanker drivers voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action.

More than 60% of the 2,000 drivers nationally backed industrial action.

The government has placed the Army on standby to help carry fuel to forecourts to prevent shortages or panic-buying.
