With the amount people are willing to fork out for a pair of
expensive Jimmy Choos, you might be forgiven for thinking shoes are
already pretty artistic.

But if you haven’t been persuaded that your pumps are as pretty
as a Picasso, there is a cobbler in Chatham's Pentagon Shopping
Centre who might well change your mind.

Arnaud Gois transforms old footwear into works of art, using
cast-offs dumped at the Timpsons shoe repair shop in the town.

He calls himself the "cobbler elf", and converts ordinary shoes
into dark, surreal sculptures.
