Fog warning as driving conditions in Kent become difficult and visibility low in places

Kent drivers today face difficult driving conditions after a weather warning for fog was placed on the county.

Forecasters say visibility could be below 100 metres in places, which could lead to difficult driving conditions and possible disruption during journeys to work or school.

Police are warning drivers to take extra care on the roads.

A Met Office statement said the fog would slowly clear, becoming milder and sunny later.

But it would return overnight, and take a while to lift tomorrow morning.
