KCC gritters to tackle frosty conditions

Motorists are being warned to expect frost on Kent's roads overnight.

Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 0.5C in some areas.

Kent County Council's Highways department has issued an amber alert and confirmed gritters will be out on key routes from 4am tomorrow as a precaution.

It anticipates temperatures will fall close to or below zero.

The Met Office says frost is likely to develop across London and South East.

Sunday is expected to be cold and breezy with occasional showers and gales possible in the north Kent coast.
