Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked by five men and had her bag stolen.

The 56-year-old was walking along Cryol Road in South Ashford at about 9.30pm on Wednesday, December 21 when it happened.

It is understood that the five men had been spotted by the victim earlier that evening near the children's play area.

Aged in their late teens or early 20s, the five thugs then ran off towards Stanhope Road with her bag which had cash and a mobile phone inside.
