Woman killed in two-car crash

A WOMAN from Kent has been killed in a car crash in Wiltshire.

Police were called to the B4020 near Charlton just after 7pm on Thursday after a silver Mercedes, carrying four people, and a blue Peugeot 206, were involved in the collision.

The Kent woman, in her 60s, was a passenger in the Mercedes. She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. She has not yet been formally identified.

The two remaining passengers in the Mercedes received minor injuries, and the driver was not hurt.

The driver of the Peugeot was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
