Dartford Harriers' Ben Louch among the winners in Kent 3,000 and 10,000m Championships at Dartford's Central Park

The annual Kent 3,000m and 10,000m championships were held at Dartford’s Central Park track with Ben Louch (Dartford Road Runners) and Clare victory in 10min8.9sec and Louch won a close-fought 10,000m race in silver medal in the under-17 3,000m race and Bob Fursey (Medway and Maidstone, 39.47.5) was also runner-up in the M50 category in the British Milers Club Grand Prix in Watford on Sunday with a brace of

Elms (Cambridge Harriers) taking the main plaudits.

Elms went straight to the top of the UK W45 rankings with her 3,000m

33.15.4 from Stuart Beaney (Kent AC, 33.16.2).

Rachel Cameron-Potter (Medway and Maidstone, 11.40.1) collected a

10,000m.

Meanwhile, Tonbridge AC middle-distance talent was displayed at the

personal-best times.

Sean Molloy ran a season’s best 1.49.15 for fourth in the top-

seeded 800m race, less than a second outside his lifetime best. Megan
Edwards (Dartford Harriers, 2.08.9) was also fourth in her 800m race.

Steve Fennel found a personal-best 3.45.75 good enough for third
in his 1,500m and Kieran Reilly (3.45.99) also enjoyed a breakthrough
to finish second in his race. Luca Russo (3.52.89) was fifth in a
later heat.
