A blistering bowling display saw Shepherd Neame Kent League Premier Division champions Hartley Country Club make the perfect start to their title defence with a 10-wicket win at Blackheath.

Daniel Redwood claimed 4-23 from nine overs and Jack Laraman took 3-12 off 7.2 as Blackheath were blitzed for just 65 in 30 overs, with James Yandell (12) the only one into double figures.

James Hockley (43) and Dan Stickels (19) cruised to the target without loss in little over 11 overs.

Steven Rowe produced a match-winning turn with the ball as Sibton Park won by six wickets at home to Bromley.

Rowe claimed 4-24 from 11.4 overs and Michael Hames collected 3-37 off 12 as the visitors were dismissed for 163, with only Charlie Walker (49) and a late 26 not out from No.9 Dominic Reed providing resistance.

Bromley reduced the hosts to 48-3 in reply but 44 from Jamie Keeler and an unbeaten 58 from Ben Allon steered Park home at 164-4.

Bexley edged to a two-wicket win at home to Sevenoaks Vine with just five balls to spare.

Miles Richardson hit 50 not out and Oliver Howick 45 as Vine posted 180-6 from their 55 overs, with Kent spinner Adam Riley claiming 2-50 off 15.

After an opening stand of 63 between Jack Wells and Jimmy Peirson, George Wells paced the reply with a fine 63 to steer the hosts to victory with two wickets remaining, in the final over, despite having been 152-3 at one stage.

Tom Parsons collected three wickets for Vine, who used eight bowlers.

The clash between Lordswood and Bickley Park at Martin Grove was finely poised when it was abandoned due to the weather.

Alex Darroch top-scored with 30 for the visitors as they were dismissed for 188, with three wickets apiece for Daniel Masters and Chris Piesley with two more from Kent prospect Fabian Cowdrey.

Piesley and Lyndon Lockhart both scored 43 and put on 62 for the third wicket but Lordswood's reply was halted by the rain with them on 134-6 from 28 overs.

Whitstable's home game against Beckenham was abandoned after the visitors' innings due to heavy rain.

Liam Tegg claimed three wickets and Nicohas Bills, Sean French and Max Campbell two apiece for the hosts as Beckenham were dismissed for 263.

Batting fifth, Johan Malcolm was the hero for Becks with a superb 134 from 91 balls, which included eight sixes and 13 fours.
