Margate can take a big step towards preserving their Ryman League Premier Division status over the Easter period when they take on the only teams below them in the table.

Terry Yorath’s men face a trip to basement side Heybridge on Saturday before entertaining Ramsgate in the Thanet derby at Hartsdown on Monday (kick-off 1pm).

Gate go into the crucial double-header third from bottom, but are just three points adrift of Boreham Wood, the side immediately above the drop zone.

Yorath still hasn't given up on signing defender Ben Lewis from Maidstone.

The club tried to tie up the deal before last week’s transfer deadline but Maidstone did not release his registration in time.
