Gillingham are taking care to stop cold symptoms spreading as they prepare to face Crewe at Priestfield on Saturday.

Steven Gregory is back in training after missing the draw at Bradford through illness but Charlie Lee has been struggling this week.

It’s a concern for boss Peter Taylor, who has also been feeling under the weather.

He said: “We’ve had a bit of a problem with illness. You just have to be careful because you don’t want things to spread.

“We had Steven Gregory out on Saturday, which was a bit of a blow but he’s back in training. You don’t want it to get any worse, so if players aren’t right, I tell them to stay away.”

Danny Kedwell has suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury and is expected to be out for at least another fortnight.

Ryan Inniss could be on the bench after a hamstring injury but Chris Whelpdale (ankle) remains sidelined as Gills look for their third home win in a row.
