Blake, 24, made his debut for Kent in 2008 and scored his maiden century against Yorkshire at the end of the 2010 season, however he has found first-team chances in the Championship hard to come by in the past two seasons, failing to appear in any four-day games this summer.
Blake said: “I’m happy to have signed my contract – this gives me a great opportunity to push on, and push for a first team spot.
“I’m really pleased that the club have shown faith in me and I intend to repay that next season, by working hard towards higher accolades with the club.”
The club’s Chairman of Cricket Graham Johnson said: “Having shown he can play at 2nd XI level, we have confidence in his ability to show the form he showed at times in the first team during 2013 on a more consistent basis in all forms of the game in 2014.”
Meanwhile the Club confirmed news from coach Jimmy Adams at the annual awards night that former Nottinghamshire right-armer Shreck, 35, will not be returning to the club.
He took 31 wickets in all formats - the club’s third highest wicket taker - this season following 55 victims in his first full season at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence.
Shreck said: “My two years playing for Kent have been a unique experience which I will not forget. I’d like to thank the purists that made the effort to watch and support the longer form of the game.”
Mr Johnson added; “I would like to thank Charlie for his commitment on the field and efforts for the club over the last two years. We all wish him well with the next stage of his career.”
Kent have already signed David Griffiths, Mitch Claydon, Charlie Hartley and Matt Hunn to bolster their attacking options next season.
The club has also confirmed that 20-year-old Ben Kemp, a right-hand bat, right-arm fast-medium bowler who signed for Kent in 2012 has been released.
