Time to wrap things up for this edition of Sportsday, but not before checking in at the World Snooker Championships. It's all getting a bit nervy for Barry Hawkins, whose lead over Dominic Dale has been reduced to 11-9 at the mid-session interval.

The man from Ditton has lost all four frames so far today, having led 11-5 overnight.

15.45 - FOOTBALL

Good luck also to Dover Athletic, who entertain Sutton United in the first leg of their play-off semi-final tonight. Keep it locked to kentonline.co.uk for reports and reaction from both Crabble and Stonebridge Road.

No-one's looking forward to Ebbsfleet's play-off against Bromley more than goalkeeper Preston Edwards, who missed their previous semi-final, three years ago, through injury.

Here's my chat with the Fleet No.1.

15.10 - SNOOKER

Two frames in the bag for Dominic Dale against Barry Hawkins at the Crucble, meaning Hawkins' lead has been trimmed to 11-7. First to 13 makes the semi-finals.

15.00 - FOOTBALL

Have you watched our weekly video catch-up with Peter Taylor yet? If not, then please step into the Gillingham manager's office with our reporter Luke Cawdell.

A message from a man who helped Ebbsfleet win promotion through the play-offs in 2011...

14.30 - SNOOKER

Barry Hawkins has just re-entered the Crucible Theatre to continue his World Snooker Championship quarter-final against Dominic Dale. The Ditton cueman, who leads 11-5, will be hoping to wrap things up quickly and move onto the semis. He needs two more frames for the match.

Neil Cugley dedicated last night's play-off win to the Folkestone Invicta supporters who, earlier this season, raised the £10,000 he needed to keep his squad together.

Read my interview with Cugs here.

Some more news from the Ryman League now, and Hythe boss Scott Porter faces an anxious wait to see how much money he can offer his players to stay at Reachfields next season.

Joint-managers Matt Wyatt and Nick Davis are staying at Sittingbourne – but top scorer Joe Taylor could be on his way. Wyatt told our man Craig Tucker that the 27-goal striker has been attracting interest from Conference clubs.

LUNCHBREAK

I'm off to grab a sandwich but stick around, because there's more play-off chat and Twitter action to come in the afternoon session. Speaking of which, Barry Hawkins resumes his World Snooker Championship quarter-final against Dominic Dale at 2.30pm. The man from Ditton leads 11-5 and needs just two more frames to finish the job. I'll let you know how he gets on.

11.55 - FOOTBALL

The supporters down at Folkestone Invicta are a cracking bunch. But, as you'll see below, their generosity hasn't quite paid instant dividends...

Time to hear from Steve Brown ahead of Ebbsfleet United's Skrill South play-off semi-final first leg against Bromley tonight. The Fleet manager has called the game 'mouth-watering' and expects the atmosphere at Stonebridge Road to be 'fantastic'.

Have I piqued your interest? Then read on.

10.15 - FOOTBALL

This from Ebbsfleet United's left-back...

Palmer and Anthony Cook were in the Chelmsford team beaten by Salisbury in the 2012/13 Conference South semi-finals, while Dean Rance, Daryl McMahon, Ben May, Billy Bricknell and Chris Sessegnon were Dover players when they lost the final, also to Salisbury.

So, motivation shouldn't be a problem for Steve Brown's men.

10.00 - SNOOKER

Ditton's Barry Hawkins is closing in on a possible World Snooker Championship semi-final against Ronnie O'Sullivan. He leads Dominic Dale 11-5, needing just two more frames to book his place in the last-four.

Here's the very latest from the Crucible.

Peter Taylor was verbally abused by a section of Gills fans at Preston on Saturday and he's hit back at the critics in this interview with our very own Luke Cawdell. It's definitely worth a read.

09.10 - FOOTBALL

Charlton Athletic secured Championship football for another season with a 3-1 win over Watford last night. Here's how the Addicks made themselves safe.

08.45 - FOOTBALL

Later on we'll be looking ahead to the Skrill South play-off semi-finals, but Bromley skipper Rob Swaine's already been tweeting about his side's semi-final first leg away to Ebbsfleet tonight.

He said: "Cannot wait for tonight's game. What an occasion it will be. Two top teams and local rivals going head to head. Buzzing."

These were the scenes at the Fullicks Stadium last night after Folkestone Invicta booked their place in the Ryman League Division 1 South play-off final.

Neil Cugley's side were heading for a penalty shootout against Hastings United but with just seven minutes left in extra-time time... this happened.

08.00 - WELCOME

Good morning. I'm still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes after a very late night at Folkestone Invicta - but more of that in a moment...
