Troubled Ramsgate suffered a 2-1 home defeat by Whitstable in Ryman League Division 1 South on Tuesday night.

Rams, whose chairman Paul Jefcoate quit just two days after sacking boss Tim Dixon, had defender Dean Hill in charge for the first time.

Struggling Town took advantage of Rams' problems by taking an early lead through Jordan Wells after 11 minutes.

Scott Heard made it two shortly after half-time, with Ollie Schulz replying for Rams on 56 minutes.

Sittingbourne's home game against Hythe and Folkestone's match at Walton Casuals were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

Margate slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Leiston in the Ryman League Premier Division, with Gareth Heath scoring the only goal after an hour.

Chatham drew 1-1 at home to Erith & Belevedere in Ryman League Division 1 North.

Tyler Christian-Law put Erith in front on 14 minutes but Ade Yusuff equalised on 27 minutes.
