Ben Morley wants Kent Kings to push on after breaking their National League duck.

Morley has impressed in a struggling team this season and returned 11+1 in the win against Buxton Hitmen.

Much was expected of the Kings following their high-profile launch and an opening meeting attended by more than 3,000 fans.

It’s been a frustrating few months but Morley is hoping they’ve turned the corner.

He said: “It was nice to win a league meeting. It all came together on the night and everyone rode well.

“We’ve been waiting for everyone to click at the same time and it happened on Monday.
“When we’ve been losing, maybe a couple of riders have had a good night. Everyone was on a high after and the atmosphere was good.

"It’s the first stepping stone and hopefully we can push on from here. All we can do is try our best every meeting and see where it takes us.

“Everyone’s improving all the time.” Kings have improved since the return of former captain Dave Mason in place of rookie Sam Woods.
