Eastbourne v Bromley

BROMLEY player-manager Simon Osborn has labelled Saturday’s crunch trip to league leaders Eastbourne as the first of “seven cup finals”.

Bromley could have risen to within a point of the Blue Square South play-off places had they beaten Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.

Osborn said the 2-0 defeat, that left his team five points off those positions, means they must view the last seven fixtures as cup finals.

“Obviously Eastbourne away on Saturday is a massive game but we have to treat every game as a cup final now,” said Osborn.

“I’ve made it clear to the players that is how we’re going to have to approach these games and I’m pretty sure we’re going to have to win four or five of those seven games.

“I won’t be giving up on promotion until it’s mathematically impossible.”
