Pre-season friendly wins for Dartford, Dover Athletic, Welling United, Ebbsfleet United and Maidstone United

Ebbsfleet United completed a perfect set of pre-season results when they beat Gillingham on Saturday.

A late goal from Charlie Sheringham - his sixth of the summer - fired Steve Brown's side to a 1-0 win, their sixth victory from as many games.

Dover Athletic, who won 2-0 at Kingstonian, have also been in good form. Ricky Modeste's two goals sealed an eighth win in nine games for the Whites.

New signing Luke Daley netted twice for Dartford in their 5-1 win at Canvey Island on Saturday, with Andy Pugh and Danny Harris also on target in Essex.

The Darts also played on Sunday, against their Princes Park tenants Greenwich Borough. Femi Akinwande and returning striker Harry Crawford scored in a 2-0 win for Tony Burman's men.

Welling United beat a Brentford XI 2-0, with Jake Gallagher scoring both the Wings goals.

Elsewhere, Moses Ademola netted for Bromley in their 1-1 draw with a Charlton Athletic XI.

Jack Parkinson and Steve Watt fired Maidstone United to a 2-1 win at home to Tunbridge Wells, for whom Brendon Cass was on target.

Margate got the better of Thanet rivals Ramsgate at Southwood, winning 3-1. Brett Williams, Luke Moore and Lewis Taylor got the Gate goals, Tom Chapman replying for the Rams.

Billy Medlock scored twice as Tonbridge Angels won 3-0 at Walton Casuals, while VCD Athletic returned from Derbyshire having beaten New Mills 2-1.

Penalties were required to settle the Sid Burvill Cup at the Fullicks Stadium. Folkestone Invicta drew 2-2 with AFC Hornchurch, Ian Draycott scoring both goals for Neil Cugley's side, who went on to win 4-3 in the shootout.

Ade Yusuff gave Chatham Town the lead against Hythe Town but a goal from Sam Conlon meant it finished 1-1 at Maidstone Road.

Whitstable Town beat Ashford United 3-2 at The Belmont. Ian Pulman and Ryan Golding (2) were on target for the Oystermen, with the Ashford goals coming from Gary Clarke and Lloyd Blackman.

Shaun Welford hit a hat-trick for Cray Wanderers in their 3-2 win at Sittingbourne and two goals from Lewis Tozer helped Thamesmead Town beat Phoenix Sports 4-2.

Faversham Town beat Aveley 3-0 but Herne Bay lost 3-1 to Thurrock.
