JASON BROWN: out since mid-December

GILLINGHAM long-term injury casualties Jason Brown and Rod Wallace are expected to make their comebacks for the reserves against Millwall today at Priestfield.

Player-manager Andy Hessenthaler is anxious for goalkeeper Brown to prove his fitness so he he can make his long-awaited return at Burnley on Saturday. He has been out since aggravating a thigh injury in the home game against Preston on December 13.

Should Brown break down, then Hessenthaler will give serious consideration to extending Nico Vaesen's loan from Birmingham for a second month.

Striker Wallace, who has been in and out of the side owing to injury problems, last started a match at Coventry on Saturday, November 22.
