Maidstone United are up to fourth in the Ryman League Premier Division after winning 3-1 at Hampton & Richmond Borough on Saturday.

Stones skipper Steve Watt opened the scoring and Orlando Smith made it 2-0 before debutant Zac Attwood also got himself on the scoresheet before half-time.

Attwood's old club, Margate, are one place below their Kent rivals, having been held to a 1-1 draw by Leiston. Phil Walsh scored for Gate at Hartsdown Park.

Thamesmead Town and Cray Wanderers now occupy the division's bottom two spots.

Cray played out a 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers Carshalton Athletic, while a Danny Phillips goal was in vain as Thamesmead lost 2-1 at home to Wingate & Finchley.

In Division 1 South, fifth-placed Faversham Town are the top Kent club. Wayne Wilson put them in front against Hastings on Saturday and a late Danny Hockton goal sealed a 2-0 win.

One point back in eight are Hythe Town, who won 2-0 at Merstham thanks to strikes from Shaun Welford and David Graves, the latter putting through his own goal.

An Olly Schulz goal was enough to earn Ramsgate a 1-1 draw at home to Corinthian Casuals, with Daren Hawkes performing heroics in the Rams goal.

Herne Bay beat Burgess Hill Town 3-1 at Winch's Field. Danny Walder netted from the penalty spot and goals from Kane Phillip and Jordan Casey put the result beyond doubt.

Charlie Smith scored for Whitstable Town at Guernsey but the Oystermen returned empty-handed from the Channel Islands, having lost 2-1.

Managerless Sittingbourne started life after Jim and Danny Ward with a 3-0 win over Worthing. Joe Taylor, Ryan Golding - from the penalty spot - and Hicham Akhazzan scored for a Brickies side in the care of Matt Wyatt and Nick Davis.

Folkestone Invicta, however, have now gone five league games without a win. Stuart King and Chris Elliott were on target at the Fullicks Stadium on Saturday but Neil Cugley's side conceded a late goal to lose 3-2 to Peacehaven & Telscombe.

Karl Dent scored a hat-trick as VCD Athletic maintained their 100% record in Division 1 North with a 3-1 win at Soham Town Rangers.

Chatham Town lost 4-2 at home to leaders Witham Town, with Liam Hickey and Andy Constable finding the net for Kevin Watson's side.

And a last-minute Mo Conteh strike was no more than a consolation for Erith & Belvedere, who were beaten 2-1 at Needham Market.
