Ebbsfleet United overcame Bromley in Saturday’s Kent derby to book their place in the First Round proper of the FA Carlsberg Trophy.

Fleet prevailed 4-1 infront of almost 1,000 fans at Stonebridge Road to win their third qualifying round and secure £4,000 in prize money.

Michael Thalassitis volleyed the visitors ahead after 15 minutes and it was 2-0 on 33 minutes when left-back Aiden Palmer popped up to steer a header past former Fleet stopper Joe Welch for his second goal in as many games.

The third arrived shortly after the start of the second-half when Ben May tapped-in from a Paul Lorraine centre but his brother Jay May reduced the arrears with a fierce shot past Preston Edwards.

Fleet withstood some pressure before sub Billy Bricknell was presented with a one-on-one with Welch in added time and made it 4-1.

Whitstable Town are also in the hat for Monday’s draw after coming from behind to stun higher-division Carshalton Athletic.

The Ryman League Premier Division side took a first-half lead through Adriano Moraes but John Guest levelled for the Division 1 South side with 15 minutes remaining.

Craig Thompson then struck the winner six minutes from time to secure the Oystermen’s fourth straight win in this season’s competition and send his side into the last 64, with ties to be played on November 30.

FA Cup heroes Dover Athletic are the other Kent side to go through after seeing out a 1-0 win over Bath City at Crabble.

Nathan Elder powered a header home from a Tom Murphy cross on 33 minutes to break the deadlock, and though Whites spurned chances to win it, they were indebted to keeper Mitch Walker and defender Sean Raggett for a goal-line clearance at the other end for sealing their place in the next round.

Maidstone United’s run was ended by a 2-1 defeat at home to Skrill South promotion-chasers Eastleigh.

Craig McAllister put the Hampshire side ahead four minutes before half-time and although Frannie Collin levelled four minutes after the interval, Jai Reason’s penalty on 56 minutes sent the visitors through.

The Stones' league rivals Margate were humbled 3-0 by Chesham United at Hartsdown Park.

Drew Roberts put the Southern League Premier Division side ahead after just five minutes but there were no more goals until second-half stoppage-time when Steve Wales made it 2-0 and then Roberts grabbed his second.

Neighbours Ramsgate were unable to overcome Southern League Division 1 Central side Daventry.

The hosts – who lost 2-0 to League 2 title-chasers Chesterfield in last week’s FA Cup First Round – went 2-0 ahead inside 35 minutes through Scott Cross and Tom James.

Although Ian Pulman halved the deficit just after the hour, Chris Murphy’s third for Daventry meant Jamie Carroll’s injury-time strike for the Rams was a mere consolation.

Tonbridge Angels face a replay against AFC Sudbury - a team two tiers below them in the football pyramid - after a 1-1 draw at Longmead.

In-form Shamir Goodwin put Angels ahead after 11 minutes, but the Ryman League Division 1 North side grabbed a draw two minutes from time through James Baker.
