Saturday's Ryman League Premier Division, Division 1 South and Division 1 North round-up

Faversham booked their place in the Ryman League Division 1 South play-offs after a convincing win at Walton & Hersham which took Town back up to second.

The 4-1 win saw them leapfrog Folkestone, who are also guaranteed a play-off berth on April 28.

Wayne Wilson put the Lilywhites on the road to victory on 34 minutes and two in a minute early in the second half, from Josh Stanford and Stuart King’s first for the club, made the points safe.

James Cottee did pull one back on 66 minutes but Renford Tenyue added a fourth in the dying seconds.

Invicta were pegged back at Worthing to draw 1-1, Frankie Chappell’s first-minute opener being cancelled-out by Jack Cook eight minutes into the second half.

Herne Bay’s chances of making it three Kent sides in the play-offs remain alive after a 1-0 win at Corinthian Casuals.

Sam Hasler got the only goal just before the break, while Casuals finished with 10 after Ross Defoe saw red.

Sixth-placed Bay have claimed 12 points from their last five games and sit five points behind Whyteleafe, with five games to play.

Whitstable are seventh, eight points adrift of fifth with six to play, despite salvaging a 2-2 draw against Three Bridges.

Goals either side of half-time put the visitors in charge but Joe Kane netted with 20 minutes to play and Aaron James headed a leveller two minutes into injury-time to earn a point.

Hythe are 12th after a thrilling finish to their 2-2 draw with Tooting & Mitcham.

Joe Kennett cancelled out the visitors’ first-half opener, but a Shaun Welford own-goal three minutes into injury-time looked to have ensured an away win, only for Welford to pop up at the other end a minute later to salvage a draw.

Harry Smith netted three minutes from time to earn Sittingbourne a 1-1 draw at Redhill, having trailed for 82 minutes to Frankie Sawyer’s goal for the second-bottom Surrey side.

Smith’s goal also kept Ramsgate out of the relegation zone, as Redhill remain a point behind the Rams, who are fourth-bottom on goal difference alone after going down 2-1 at South Park.

Dale Burgess struck twice in the first half meaning Tom Hackman’s last-gasp goal was a mere consolation.

Maidstone saw their lead at the top of the Premier Division cut after a 1-1 draw at Leatherhead on a cagey day of action on which none of the top 13 clubs lost.

Second-placed Hendon were one of just five teams to win in the division, pulling within seven points of the Stones, who have played a game more.

Margate are still third, now six points behind Hendon but with two games in hand, and nine points clear of the play-off chasing pack after a 0-0 draw against Wingate & Finchley.

Tonbridge Angels were involved in another of the division’s seven draws after Tom Parkinson salvaged a 1-1 draw at home to rock-bottom Bury Town with an equaliser 12 minutes from time.

VCD Athletic made it a clean-sweep of Kent draws with Leigh Bremner’s 72nd minute strike cancelling out a Correy Davidson strike for Grays in Essex.

The point took second-bottom VCD effectively four from safety, although having played a game more, while Tonbridge are six points but just two places ahead of the bottom four.

Chatham remain six points clear of the Division 1 North drop-zone after going down 2-0 at promotion-chasing AFC Sudbury on Saturday.

Scott Kemp had them behind inside 60 seconds but it took until 64 minutes for Craig Parker to make it 2-0.

Cray Wanderers enjoyed a 4-0 away win at rock-bottom Burnham Ramblers and are now just eight points from a remarkable escape from relegation.

Thamesmead look safe in mid-table after a second-half own-goal earned them a 1-0 home win against Redbridge.
