Sam Bradley wins the Staplehurst 10K for Tonbridge Athletic Club

West Kent clubs featured at the front of the fifth Staplehurst 10K as 300 runners completed the fast, flat course on country lanes from Surrenden Playing Fields on Sunday morning, writes Alan Newman.

Tonbridge AC brothers Sam Bradley (32min40sec) and Dan Bradley (33:51) were joined on the winner’s rostrum by Tunbridge Wells Harrier, Daniel Watt (34:26) as 27 athletes finished inside 40 minutes.

The top-six leader board was completed by David Ives (Sevenoaks, 34:31), John Law (Tunbridge Wells, 34:39) and Nathan Chapman (Larkfield, 34:59).

Deirdre McDermot (Tonbridge, 37:43) was an impressive winner of the women’s race from W45 Kim Howes (Larkfield, 42:58) and W40 Tina Wren (Hastings, 43:06).
