Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack has signed a new long-term contract with the League 1 club which will keep him at Priestfield until 2018.

The 20-year-old - who has come through the Gills youth and academy system - has netted four times in 28 appearances for Peter Taylor's side this season, most recently chipping a sublime opening goal as Gills hosted Rotherham United.

Dack has made 48 Gills appearances in total, scoring six goals, since his debut in the Capital One Cup win at Bristol City in August 2012.

Delighted boss Taylor told the club website: "It’s good news, we decided quite a while ago that we wanted to tie Bradley and Jake (Hessenthaler) up because we know they are two very good players for the future.

“Jake’s was sorted out very quickly but Bradley’s took a little bit longer but we are really pleased it’s now sorted and we know we have a very good player and he will be a regular starter here.

“He is an outstanding talent, a good professional and we are pleased to have tied him up."
