Peter Taylor is delighted to have captured pacey winger Jermaine McGlashan on a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old was a free agent after rejecting a new deal at former club Cheltenham Town.

Gills boss Taylor said: "I'm very pleased. He is a player I have looked at for a long time.

"I think the crowd will enjoy watching him play because he's very rapid - we have signed him for two years and I'm delighted."

McGlashan was previously with Aldershot, where he made over 60 league appearances.

He moved to Cheltenham in January 2012 - amid rumours of an interest from Gillingham -and made over 100 appearances for them, with 11 goals.

Prior to his move into the Football League, the player appeared for Staines Town, Merstham and Ashford Town.
