Tonbridge crashed out of the FA Trophy at the hands of lower-league St Albans City on Monday night.

The teams played out a goalless draw at Longmead on Saturday but the Calor League side blew the Angels away in the replay.

James Comley opened the scoring and Mark Nwokeji then doubled St Albans' lead after the interval.

A third goal from Howard Hall put the tie completely beyond Tonbridge and there was salt rubbed into the wound when ex-Angel Chris Henry struck to make it 4-0.

St Albans also knocked Tonbridge out of the FA Cup, the two defeats costing the west Kent club a combined £12,500 in prize money.

Tommy Warrilow's side also missed out on the chance to host Skrill Premier leaders Cambridge United in the second round of the Trophy.
