How Adrian Reeves and Richard Ells turned a great idea into SiteWizard

company, SiteWizard, of Maidstone
Although the banks said "No" at first, Adrian Reeves and Richard
Ells were convinced their website idea would prove a winner.
And they were right.
It was in October, 1996, that the two young entrepreneurs formed
a partnership which over the next 15 years would develop into
SiteWizard.co.uk
They were determined to prove their idea had merit and
self-funded the development of their idea for an all-in-one website
design system.
Their creation would become one of the earliest CMS - Content
Management Systems - on the market.
It has now grown into the product which more than 3,000 clients
use to manage their websites. SiteWizard has become one of the UK's
most recommended website design companies.
Initially, customers would choose a site design and build their
own website, but it soon became clear that small to medium
businesses demanded the same professional eye for design as their
larger competitors, but wanted it at a fraction of the price.
By recruiting and training a design team to incorporate their
Photoshop bespoke designs into the SiteWizard CMS system, a massive
time-saving was achieved over conventional design, allowing
SiteWizard to create beautiful, bespoke websites at a fraction of
the normal price.
SiteWizard, based in Albion Place, Maidstone, won the National
Business Awards Bright Business prize for software in 2004.
Far from resting on their laurels the duo invested in a new
piece of software to give SMEs (small to medium enterprises) the
ability to have corporate quality ecommerce software on a small
business budget.
As Adrian and Richard's business has developed, additional
services have been added due to demand from their clients. When the
pair decided to move their model to encompass Search Engine
Optimisation the success continued.
Many of their client's websites are now being optimised to
ensure that they are found on the first page in Google, and the
results and client feedback are amazing.
Adrian said: "We have an amazing team at SiteWizard.
From day one of a client coming on board they are looked after
and their design ideas are developed to a fully-functioning
website.
"Our clients are important to us and we want to ensure that they
are looked after whether they are talking to their account manager
or receiving technical support.
"By not tying businesses into a contract and giving them a
30-day money back guarantee, they have the freedom to leave us at
any point which means that we have to deliver the best service we
can every day."
SiteWizard now boasts a team of more than 25 who design, develop
and support websites, online shops and search engine optimisation
solutions.
