The team from XL Pools after winning a top prize at the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association (SPATA) Awards.

A Kent firm has made a splash with its award-winning swimming pool.

XL Pools, based in Pluckley, won a top prize at the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association (SPATA) Awards.

The company scooped the Non-Traditional Pool Installation accolade in recognition of the company's outstanding design and construction of the pool.

After a presentation ceremony at The De Vere Grand Hotel, Brighton, the firm's Tony Exell said: "Winning at this year's SPATA awards is a wonderful achievement. This award for Non Traditional Pool Installations is a fitting acknowledgement of our team's hard work and innovation."

SPATA represents more than 180 specialist pool companies across the UK.

Its managing director Chris Hayes added: "The excellent work displayed by our members, demonstrates the value of choosing a SPATA member to design, build and / or renovate your pool."
