Business Blog: Reason to celebrate

Tim Lightbourne will be celebrating the New Zealand Women's Rugby World Cup triumph against England yesterday.

The Kiwi was in Kent recently to promote Invivo Wines, the company he runs in Auckland. His wines are made from grapes grown by numerous producers around Auckland and have come out top in several wine-tasting competitions. The Sauvignon Blane recently topped a NZ poll of 800, and has won prizes.

Tim was hoping to visit Chapel Down vineyard at Tenterden during his UK stay. After meeting Ross Furlong, Saga's hotel director, he was looking forward to landing an order from the Folkestone-based holiday and cruise company.

Saga cruise customers are given a good deal with wines, with a superb international list from which to choose on board.

I understand cases of Invivo wines will be waiting for Saga Pearl II passengers when they dock in New Zealand early next year. And there could be a vineyard tour lined up for them as well. Cheers Tim!
