A
Kent-based soldier will be laid to rest in his hometown of Coventry
today.
Sapper Guy Mellors was from 36 Engineer Regiment in
Maidstone.
The 20-year-old died on the February 15 clearing
IED
s in Afghanistan.
He was repatriated to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire last month, along
with four other soldiers who lost their lives in the war torn
country.
Residents in the nearby town of Wootten Bassett lined the
streets to pay their respects as the soldiers' cortege passed
through.
