Arrests in Headcorn ram raid probe

Lady Mop, Headcorn High StreetTwo people have been arrested in connection with a ram raid in which £20,000 of clothes were taken from a shop in Headcorn.

A 48 year old man and a 55 year old woman were arrested on suspicion of burglary after police carried out warrants at addresses in Maidstone and Harrietsham on Thursday.

This follows the ram raid at the Lady Mop boutique in Headcorn High Street, on Tuesday 23 February.

A 4x4 vehicle was driven into the front of the store and clothing was taken.

Police are still appealing for any possible witnesses to come forward with information by contacting Detective Constable Gary Stamp on 01795 419161 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Both those arrested have been bailed pending further enquiries until April 20.
