Who turned out the lights?

Kent PoliceA village footpath has been plunged into darkness after 19 street lights were damaged.

The passageway off Church Lane, Bearsted, was targeted by vandals between 5pm on Saturday and 10am the next day.

It's estimated the bill to repair the low level lights will reach £10,000.

The street lamps will be replaced with vandal-resistant bulbs.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 101, quoting crime reference number YY/020916/12.
