Incident at football ground
Police were called to Maidstone United
Football Club last night after a fight reportedly broke
out at a Christmas party.
Officers arrived at the Gallagher Stadium in James Whatman Way
just after 9pm.
Patrols were made aware of the incident by ambulance crews,
who attended after receiving reports that a woman had been hit in
the face and took her to Maidstone Hospital.
It is thought the fight started in the Spitfire Lounge, which
had been hired out for a private function.
However, a spokesman for the club said they understood
that a woman had chipped a tooth when she tripped over.
