Arrest after Cannabis plants found

Police stock pictureCannabis plants have been discovered after police raided a house in Maidstone.

Officers who went to Bell Road seized around 65 plants and hydroponic equipment.

PC Hayley Campbell said: “This is another important find as we continue to tackle drugs offences across the district.

"The information and support we receive from members of the public is key to helping us identify people suspected of being involved in drugs offences and I would urge the public to continue to report any suspicions to police so we can take action.”

A 45-year-old man from Maidstone has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. He was later released on bail until March 30, while police carry out an investigation.

Anyone with information about drug use in their area can contact police by calling 101.
