Drugs dogs joined neighbourhood police on Friday night for an operation to tackle drugs offences in Tonbridge.
Officers who visited pubs across the town targetting people suspected of being in possession of drugs, were joined by police drugs dogs and officers from the force’s Special Constabulary.

In total, four men were given warnings for cannabis, after the drugs dog had sniffed out a small amount on them. A 20-year-old man from Tunbridge Wells was given a police caution after being found in possession of amphetamine.

Sgt Mark Ginsberg said: “We regularly run this operation in Tonbridge and surrounding areas and it is designed to locate people who are in possession of drugs, seize those drugs, and deal with the offenders. Tonbridge is a safe place to live and to socialise, and taking drugs off the streets makes the town even safer. We will continue to run this operation, especially in the lead up to the Christmas and New Year festivities.”
