Two homeless men died in Aylesford over the same weekend.

Daniel Gauntlett, 35, died from hypothermia while sleeping outside a derelict bungalow in Hermitage Lane between Saturday night, February 23, and Sunday morning, February 24.

His death followed that of Douglas Poynton, 45, earlier on Saturday at Forstal Cottages in Forstal Road. The cause of Mr Poynton's death is yet to be ascertained.

Inquests into the deaths of both men were opened and adjourned this week.
