Three charged with burglary

Police stock imageThree people have been charged following a police crackdown on burglary and vehicle crime in west Kent.

Luke Steel, 21, from Melrose Close, Maidstone was charged with a burglary which took place in Maidstone on February 6.

He was also charged with fraud.

He was released on bail and is due to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on April 24.

Two teenage boys were also arrested as part of Operation Castle.

A 15-year-old from Tonbridge was charged with theft from a property in Headcorn which took place between February 23 and 25.

He was also charged with cannabis possession and will appear at Maidstone Youth Court on March 4.

A 17-year-old from Orpington was charged with a burglary in Sevenoaks which took place on February 14.

He appeared at court yesterday and was remanded in custody pending a hearing at Sevenoaks Youth Court today.
